Path with Particle Illusion

Hi everybody,

This is my first thread on this excellent forum.

I want to know if it's possible to follow particules on a (vector ?) path ?

Thank you.

The particles cannot follow a path. Once they are released from the emitter, the move about freely, and can only be indirectly controlled through forces and defelctors.

Emitters (The thing that emits particles can follow a path you create in pIllusion (by setting up position keyframes), by importing a motion path from After Effects clipboard, or by importing a tab delimited text file generated via one of the plug-ins found at wondertouch's website - usually a 3D programe exporting position keyframes through a plug-in).

In short (sorry for all of that) neither the particles nor the emitter can follow a vector path (such as an illustrator path) at this time.
