Need a title sequence to explode into dust--actually need it to implode from dust and become readable on the screen.
Done this lots before, using an exaggerated gaussian blur on the original text, then morphing from one state to another--but this is a time-consuming nightmare--and way tricky, since, if it needs to be comp'd over a background scene, alpha channels usually don't really cut it.
Can I do something like this in pIllusion? (2.0.5).
This is something that pI3 is great for (there's a tutorial on how to do just that if you click on my face up at the top of the forum) but I don't really know of a way you can do it convincingly in 2. You could probably trace around your text with line emitters and get something that kinda looked right.
