setValue for "Circle" effect problems
on Sep 30, 2015 at 5:31:40 pm

Trying to set the values of a circle effect that I'm generating from a script. Here's a snippet of my code (var halfHeight is already defined, just not shown here):

var circleLocator = locator("Effects").addProperty("ADBE Circle"), circleCenter = [halfHeight,halfHeight];
circleLocator.effect("ADBE Circle")("Radius").setValue(halfHeight);

The issue though is that I can't seem to figure out how to modify the radius property of this effect. Even when using rd_GimmiePropPath to get both the common path and the match name path of this property and putting that in, I still get the same error: "Function circleLocator.effect is undefined". Any suggestions?

Got it. Never mind.

Answer is to use .property(group index number).

So for me, it was circleLocator.property(2).setValue(halfHeight); Because Circle effect's radius is the second property in that effect group.
