wiggle AND loop expression issues
on May 19, 2014 at 12:44:46 am

I'm trying to wiggle and loop a shape I have keyframes in the Z rotation but it only reacts to the top script and not the bottom one. Its driving me crazy. If I swap the scripts then it will change reactions to only read the very top scrip. Here is my scrip and I need them both to work simultaneously -

Please help, What am I doing wrong??

loopOut("cycle")

wiggle(50,15)

The expression engine doesn't know how to combine those results. The last thing it calculates is what it takes as the value. Are you trying to wiggle a loop or loop a wiggle?

I'm trying to loop and wiggle the same rotation. I first created the loop as i want it to continue as long as I need, and then I wanted to wiggle the shape rotation thats looping.

See if this is close to what you're after:

loopOut("cycle") + wiggle(50,15) - value

THAT WORKED!

Thank you Dan. It was so hard to find out how to to the linking. Very much appreciated.

So I need to add a + between any script and end with - value at the end.

Not exactly. The - value is used isolate the wiggle amount. Generally though, you would store the result of the first calculation into a variable and then combine it with the result of the second calculation. The specifics will depend on what you're trying to do.
