controlling an expression depending of other value
on Apr 13, 2014 at 7:29:42 pm

Hi guys, i've a work to deliver where, if no one can help me, i will have to edit manually about 1200 layers :ooo

The thing is that, i have a lot of lights from 3D which im using with particular as particles emissor. The thing is that the lights are emitting particles even when they are not in movement, and i dont want that so i want to use the light intensity to control the particles emitted from those lights (which have different in/out point)

So i want to tell after effects this thing, in a language which he could understand... :P

IF the position of the light is the same as the previous frame, then intensity = 0

IF the position is different than the previous frame (its moving), then intensity = 100.

Is this possible, could someone help me?? thanks in advance

Maybe something like this:

spd = thisComp.layer("Light 1").transform.position.speed;
Math.abs(spd) > 0 ? 100 : 0
