simple move expression
on Feb 28, 2014 at 11:58:06 am

Hi everyone. First time here, so hope you can help!

I am using a 'Hole' effect and have pick-whipped from the effects Centre to the position data on a Mocha Move NULL object (some tracking data).
So far so good, and I have the expresion:

thisComp.layer("Mocha Move NULL").transform.position

This works fine, but I now want to fine tune the x,y data more accurately to place the Hole centre where I like. So my question is, what additional text do I need to add to the expression above to do this?
Many Thanks,
Simon

Do you mean you want to add a static offset? That could be done like this:

xOffset = 50;
yOffset = -25;
thisComp.layer("Mocha Move NULL").transform.position + [xOffset,yOffset]

You could tie xOffset and yOffset to sliders if you want to be able to adjust manually (or keyframe the adjustment amounts).
