AE5 Moving Text Expression
on Sep 24, 2013 at 12:42:59 pm

Greetings everyone,

I would just like for someone knowledgeable enough to help me with my concern.

Whenever I insert this in Position : Expression, it always show this error code.

After Effects warning: Class 'global' has no property or method named 'y' Expression disabled.

Error occurred at line 2.
Comp: 'Comp1'
Layer:1 ('NEWS ITEM')
Property: 'Position'

So everytime I type in the code below, it shows that error. What I wanted to do was to make a news ticker, just the text moving. I believed in a tutorial that I saw, this is the code used. Anyone who can help me with this? It is definitely urgent.

Thank you.

x=position[0]+(time-inPoint)*-150;
y=position[1]
[x,y]

You're missing a semi-colon:

x=position[0]+(time-inPoint)*-150;
y=position[1];
[x,y]
