Link parameter to time?
on May 19, 2012 at 6:11:50 am

Hi, I'm wondering if there's an expression to continuously change a parameter without using keyframes and without the parameter ever repeating the same value (so the wiggle expression is out). The parameter I want to change is the evolution of a Fractal Noise effect. It needs to steadily increase in a linear fashion (not randomly) - so I guess eventually, it would have to loop, since it only goes up to 90 360-degree revolutions or something. Is there maybe a way to link the evolution to the comp's time code value?
Thank you!

Something like this should work:

rate = 50; // degrees per second
rate*time

That is perfect. Thanks so much.
