Controlling the start time of a layer
on Feb 8, 2012 at 12:22:23 pm

My comp is based on a slide show. Slides durations are controlled by a slider.
I am trying to achieve an audio loop cycle with expressions.
I have an audio of 2 seconds long. I want to replay audio but i want to control the distance between loops (i am using it as a transition sound between slides)

1- Is it possible the looping sound in one layer?
2- I can dublicate the layer by the number of slides. Is there a way to control the beginning point of a layer?

Thanks in advance

If you need to move layers around in time, it sounds like a job for a script, not an expression. With a script you could do the whole thing--duplicate your audio layer and position the start time of the copies to whatever interval you want. A bit of work, but certainly feasible.
