Hi, I have done hundreds of videos on youtube for my webshow. I'm now trying to take the show to a new level and I am purchasing paid programming time from a local station here in las vegas. It is a SD station. My questions is, Should I film in HD and render to a SD format by cropping to give a better look? Or should I just film in SD. Thank you.

Don't ask us, ask the people at the station.
Since you're purchasing the time, you're a client, and they'll probably bend over backwards to give you the information you need to preserve maximum image quality.

I have only spoken with Marketing and to be honest I'm just looking to see what industry professionals are doing. I plan on sitting down with some of the editors and hammering out some questions but I want to go in with some fuel.

Okay, then work in HD, and keep the important parts of your graphics in 4x3 Title Safe. That's about it for now.

Questions about video & chroma levels, media containers, codecs and frame rates are for the station people.

Thanks Dave, I appreciate the help. Yes, they have guidelines for me to go over for levels,FPS and what not.
