film look software?
on Mar 6, 2010 at 7:33:19 am

I was wondering if I really needed to buy Magic Bullet suite, in order to make my video less harsh. I am thinking of the "frames" plug in actually. Or does it give the same effect if I just copy the video, and reduce opacity 30% on one, and de-interlace the other copy and paste them over each other.

Does anyone have any experience with this?

It would help to know which software you intend to use to do this.

What's your goal for a "film look"? What camera and format are you shooting with? And as Dave asked, what software are you using?

The main thing that achieves a "film look" feel is the frame rate it plays at. Has the footage already been shot and at what frame rate?
