I worked in a post production facility, doing a TVC commercial. During the presentation, the commercial quality was beautiful and it was clean. A few days later I saw the commercial aired. and to my surprise, the TVC, look really bad. The color darken, quality became poor. I don't know if where we got it wrong. I knew on dub release I check the betacam materials, Everything look as it should.
I was just wondering if I should calibrate our monitor?. If so what are the steps in calibrating, a presentation monitor for broadcast quality, and how to have that "what you see in the presentation is what you get quality".
