Hi

I'm after suggestions for a good graphics software program for a small regional TV station in New Zealand. What we are looking for is something that supports alpha keying (we have a PC w/ decklink card already, and are looking for good software), hopefully something that can suppport playback of DV avi with alpha channels, for animated baselines and that sort of stuff.

We have considered magicsofts ultrared software (http://www.magicsoft.tv), but it doesn't support playback of video files with an alpha channel.

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

Obviously a Deko or Inscriber system is out of our price range.

Thanks in advance for the help

Isaac Thompson

I see that there's no response to this post. Isaac, did you get any private response and have you solved your problem?
We're using Inscriber for our live shows here on our community station in Melbourne but it's a very heavy learning curve for part timers and we're desperate to find an easier and cheaper alternative.
Any body out there got a solution or is this one to filed in the too hard basket?

Haven't had any response from this forum so far. Haven't purchased any software as of yet, but we're currently trialing some software called ultra-red. See http://www.magicsoft.tv to find out more. It's very easy to use for, escpecially for baselines. I'd personally love to have an Inscriber system, but for us its an issue of price.

Depends what part of the world you are in.
The best thing to do would be to contact magicsoft directly.
Their website is http://www.magicsoft.tv or email then at office@magicsoft.tv
I have been in contact with them pretty regularly, and they are pretty helpful.
