Pre-auction evaluation for Sony 1800

I'm preparing to list my Sony 1800 on ebay for auction and would like suggestions on how to evaluate it's condition for an accurate listing. I'm a shooter and don't claim to have engineering skills. Any advice would be appreciated.

First of all does it have any problem that you know of.
Second most people want to know how many hours are on the unit. You can find out the four hour meters by pressing the front panel HOURS METER:
1. T1: Powered on hours
2. T2: Drum rotation hours
3. T3: Tape running hours
4. CT: Threading

How would you charactarize these hours:

Oper 00400
Drum 0150
Tape 0098
Thread 0376

Would you hazard a guess on a fair selling price for the deck. It has only been out of the rack once to have the upper drum (?)replaced. Thanks!

I have clients that have purchased 1800's from places like The Broadcast Store (and others that you see advertise in the trade mags) that arrive completely battered and broken, after they are told that the 1800 is in great shape.

So if it's even working, and playing tapes, and doesn't have dent's all over it, you are a "good guy", and not like most of the "used car salesmen" that are so prevalent in our business.

Thanks Bob, that's exactly the input I was hoping for. Now I feel like I can post an honest auction description.
