Head Clog: How do you know?

We got a note from a cable network telling us the copy of the film we sent them has some artifacts and, in one instance, there is a head clog issue.

Question: I'm looking at the spot where they say there's a head clog. It's a really quick cut. They say at the bottom of the screen the head clog is visible. Can someone tell me what I'm looking for?

Thanks!

My experience is that every different kind of videotape recording format has a different-looking head clog. So if I told you what a Quad head clog looked like, you'd look at me like I was from Neptune.

Before we can give you a straight answer, you need to tell us 1) your acquisition tape format, 2) what you used to edit 3) your mastering tape format and 4) how you went about looking for the offending head clog once you were notified about it.

Even if we are clueless, we'll at least be able to point you in the right direction. Or offer a way to fix what you have.
