I'm working on my first hi-def show, a 3-D animation show for kids. It's created in 720p and being up-resed to 1080i. My understanding, and I hope you'll let me know if I'm wrong, is that the issues of color safe and interlace flicker only pertain to NTSC and not to high-def. So I'm wondering if it might be a good idea to keep the high-def master pristine and do any color corrections for legality and checking for interlace flicker in the transfer to NTSC. Does this workflow make sense?
