h.264 8k res

Hey.

So I downloaded a file off youtube. I checked the codec in this 8k file, and the codec is
Codec: H264 - MPEG-4 AVC (part 10) (avc1)
So I'm trying really hard to either convert a file to this codec, or install this codec into premiere pro.

No matter what kinds of software I install, my premiere pro options seem to be uneffected.

When I use premiere pro's H.264 "format" I have zero customization options when it comes to codec settings and stuff like that.
The resolution is capped at 4k and the level is capped at 5.2.

Yet here we are, with a codec H264 - MPEG-4 AVC, that works on my computer, as I can actually view the video, that is a 264 codec and has 8k res.

So I though the difference was H264 vs H264 AVC. So I downloaded a converter, winxdvd, that was bragging about it's https://www.winxdvd.com/resource/new-fourteen/h264.png AVC, and in this converter, you cannot use more than 4000 pixels as well.

So I'm in a pickle.

So again, can someone help me in anyway, or point me in a direction that would help me create files like the one I downloaded, 8k but a 264 codec.

Not viable. 15x render time.

Seriously, what did you expect? It's 8K you're dealing with!

What source file are you using?

What sort of PC do you have?

Hey,
Sorry, you're looking at it from the wrong point of view.
I can render a 1080p and a 4k h.264 in the same amount of time, or similar amount of time, maybe 50% longer for the 4k version. However when I render the video in quicktime, mpeg4, the render time goes up ten fold for the 1080p video, 15 times for the 4k video. The quicktime mpeg4 codec is taking ten times longer than the h.264.

The computer details are pretty irrlevent, but if you are curious, it's pretty high end. I have a 4930k @ 4.8 ghz with 32 gb ram and a titan video card.

"The computer details are pretty irrlevent."

No they're not in the whole scheme of things.

8K H.264 is in theory 'illegal'. 8K resolution is not part of the spec.

That said, you could try ffMPEG or mencoder or Handbrake or any other of the x264 solutions out there but I doubt you'll have much luck.
