24PsF / 24pA differences

Hello, we have cameras that shoot 24pA and the network wishes us to deliver in 24PsF. So far they have not complained, however our recent episodes have been rejected by the iTunes submission process due to repeat frames (which is inherent to shooting 24 in 60i via repeat frames). As we are considering purchasing new cameras, knowing whether 24pA and 24PsF are similar would help with that push. We are trying to figure out how to satisfy both the network and iTunes specifications. Knowing the similarities and differences between 24pA and 24PsF would be a big help.

24pA was a form of pulldown cadence. 2:3:3:2 vs 2:3:2:3

24PsF is segmented progressive frames that can be carried over interlaced 24.

Unfortunately your question is incomplete because neither of the above solve your problem.

You have repeat frames which is probably their way of saying your cadence is wrong. You need to figure out what about your workflow is the cause. Some NLEs like FCP7 used 2:2:2:4 cadence in the timeline as a quick and dirty method which was not good for any exported use for the most part.

What solves your issue depends on your workflow and what might be causing the issues with the cadence. It may have nothing to do with 24pA or PsF.
