Converting different frame rates from h.264 to ProRes
on Feb 11, 2013 at 7:45:39 pm

Hey guys,

I have a lot of footage from a DSLR and want to edit it so I'm converting to ProRes using MPEG Streamclip. I shot some footage at 24p and some at 60 for slow motion purposes, so I'm wondering if I have to separate the two kinds of footage and convert them separately using different settings (converting the 24p footage with a 24 frame rate, and the 60 with a 60 frame rate in the "frame rate" option box). Or, can I just convert them all at the same time without entering anything in the frame rate box in MPEG streamclip?

Thanks!

Best way is to leave them as they are and compress them at their original frame rate and than slow the the 60fps in post.
