A step-by-step process for converting videos into FLV files for use in Adobe Connect.

STEP 1: Open Adobe Media Encoder

STEP 2: Drag & Drop the video file you want to convert into Adobe Media Encoder.
NOTE: Media Encoder does not handle .MOV files. You may need to transcode into a .mp4 format before doing this.

STEP 3: Select FLV ❘ F4V from the dropdown menu under Format.

STEP 4: Select the Settings... button on the right side of the interface.

STEP 5: The settings window will appear. Click the Format tab in the bottom-right section.

STEP 6: Inside the Format tab, confirm that the circle next to FLV is selected:

STEP 7: Click the Video tab. Confirm that the video settings are as follows:

STEP 8: Click the Audio tab. Confirm that the audio settings are as follows. Click OK.

STEP 9: This will bring you back to the main window. Click on the text under Output File.

STEP 10: This dialogue window will appear. Select where you want your flv video. Click Save.

Step 11: Make sure you have your settings the way you want them and then hit Start Queue in the upper-left corner.
