Compressor vs. Cinema Tools Frame Rate Conversion

Hi everyone,

I have probably an out-dated question, but I'll ask anyway.

Which do you think is better for a frame rate conversion: Compressor or Cinema Tools? And why?

Let me know what you think! Thanks!

Apples and Oranges. These tools do different things.
Cinema Tools generally changes the flag to change the frame rate.
Compressor generally uses Optical Flow to create new frames.

The serve different purposes.

Fcpx conforms frame rates in the timeline on the fly...it's smoother than I've seen before

Absolutely. If you're battling frame rate issues I'd think one is much better served by using FCPX. I'd add that I believe that that may, at least in part, be due to the difference between how Quicktime and AVFoundation work in handling time.
