Compressor error: Quicktime could not access file: offset too big
on May 6, 2011 at 2:18:16 pm

Hello!
I'm trying to convert mpegs (with sound) into high quality prores files (apple prores 422 HQ) but compressor (version 3.5.3) keeps failing. It gives the following message:
"Quicktime could not access a file. Offset too big."
I tried using an external drive as the source, since I heard that that helps, but it didn't work for me. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Thank you so much!

[irene litapop] "I'm trying to convert mpegs (with sound)"

That codec description is far too generic. Please describe codec in detail. Consider using VideoSpec to determine the details.

I'm getting the same error when trying to export a movie in ProRes422 (Hq). All I'm doing is sending the sequence from FCP to Compressor and then upscaling footage from 720x480 to 1280x720.

I've looked around and I've yet to find anyone who succesfully answered this problem.
Here's the error log for those who know:

<?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" standalone="yes"?>
