Grainy text once Compressed

Relatively newbie to FCP so thank you for any help.

Exported FCP (ProRes 422) to Quicktime (2.88 GB 1920x1080 3mins). Used the "Share YouTube" template on compressor. Template exported it to 1280x720 172 MB .mov file. Size is fine, that's not the issue.

However the text now has a slight grainy-ness to it. Any suggestions on the Compressor setting?

Also, any suggestions on which template to take the large file down to an email-able size without it looking like an etch-a-sketch?

Thank you so much for your help. REALLY appreciate it.

Don't export to QuickTime. Just send directly to Compressor for the highest quality.

Your data rate for 3 min needs to be around 425-450 with an h.264 setting. Figure scaling it down to 640x360, or 320x180.
