Compressor vs Sorenson Squeeze

Ok. Let's duke it out. If you have used both Compressor and Sorenson Squeeze, I want to hear from you. I know that if you have a favorite and I ask which is better, you will simply suggest your favorite, so I'll be more specific in my questions. Compressor fans: why is Compressor good enough or even better than Squeeze? Squeeze fans, why is it worth shelling out the extra $800 for Squeeze instead of settling for Compressor? I am more interested in the strengths of each software than the perceived weaknesses of the other.

If it helps, I am interested in compression of all types, but specifically compression for web and compression of editing friendly formats, especially those of the ProRes family.

Thanks,
Nathan

PS I understand that there is probably already a host of threads responding to these issues, but my searching for the past 20 minutes has been in vain, so please feel free to respond with links to other threads.
PPS Is there another software package I should consider?

[Nathan Grout] "PPS Is there another software package I should consider?"

Telestream Episode. It's scalable from desktop to enterprise. Support a wide varied of professional codecs , has a great nodal interface, great processing filters, FAST, has a forum on the COW.

Rich, would you elaborate? What does Episode add to the mix that Compressor and MPEG Streamclip can't do?

Episode uses MainConcept H.264 codec which is major better than Apple's H.264 codec (maybe one of the worst H.264 codec out there).
Episode has excellent processing filters.
Episode supports more codecs in and out.
Episode is fast.
Episode 6 Pro can now do parallel encoding.
Episode can be scaled up to the "enterprise" level.
Episode's Monitor function is more flexible than "Droplets."

Look at this testimonial posted in the COW's Episode forum.

I'm also interested in knowing about your experiences with Episode's "One Click Clustering™". Have you had good results? Is it more stable than Qmaster clusters?

Nathan
