Image Sequence missing frames in Compressor

Hey all,

I'm trying to import a 24fps TGA image sequence into compressor v3.5.2 and spit out a 24fps ProRes 4444 quicktime.

But when the quicktime is made, there are many frames MISSING from it. Out of every ten frames, the 3rd and 8th frame is not in the quicktime, seriously affecting the duration of the clip.

Has anyone seen this before? Or know why it's happening?

I've imported about 30 image sequences and it happens on all of them. My A/V attribute settings for the image sequence is 24fps, and the fps of my ProRes setting is 24 as well. The missing frames ARE in the folder of stills, they just don't show up in the quicktime.

Feels like a pulldown or framerate issue, but I can't for the life of me find any other parameters to change!

I'm using Mac OS 10.5.8

Thanks!

Try opening the image sequence in Quicktime 7 Pro and saving as a reference movie. Take that ref movie into compressor. If the same problem happens with Quicktime then you might have a problem with those particular images.

I had exactly the same issues and I think I have found out how to workaround the issue.

Hopefully this will help
