To preserve picture quality, I use the 6.2 mbps (90 minute setting) in Apple compressor v 3.5.1.
When i drop in a 90 minute SD NTSC QT movie, with chapter markers, this 6.2 setting compresses a file which ultimately just fits on the entire dvd 4.7 gb disk.
I now have a 2.5 hour (150 min) program which I would like to burn onto 1 Dual Layer disk. Will the same 6.2 bit rate compress the file so that it will fit onto the 8.5 gb DL dvd?
Is there a reliable bit rate calculator for Apple compressor?
So, you're not doubling the amount of content by you have twice the space available.
You must be able to answer the question from that!
