A client has requested delivery of a compressed video clip in the .mpg format.

Is there a way to do this using Mac/FCP/Compressor?

Yes, easily. You'll need to find out if it's MPEG-1 or MPEG-2 first.

The imortant thing is that the file needs to be a .mpg file.

How do you export it as a .mpg file?

Choose an MPEG-1 preset in compressor!
