I have a bunch of native h264 files that I need to batch process in pro res 422. I've setup my batch, select all the clips go to hit submit, but i get an error saying "you must enter a name for this batch submission. this is the name that identifies in the batch monitor and history window." i saved the project named it, etc, etc...am I missing something? please help!

Page 77 of the compressor 3 manual (there's a pdf of it on your hard drive).

You'll kick yourself hard when you realise how simple it is!

for all of you who are trying to figure this out I found the solution:

Here is the trick:

* You must FIRST drag your source media into the batch window
* THEN drag in your settings and destinations
* click on Submit, and you will be prompted for the batch name, and you're good to go.

If you do it the other way around, you get the "Empty Batch Name" error.

Other compression products, like Sorenson Squeeze, let you drag in your settings and media in any order you choose, but Compressor is apparently more picky. Drag in your source media first, then add your settings, and see if that works. It worked for me.
