Calculating Encodes

So, I was wondering if there was a widget or equation of some sort that will let me calculate how big a file will be after encoding, For instance, if I have an HD 1080i 2GB file and I wanted to encode it using motionJPEG-B, is there a way to calculate that? A widget that lets you put in the source file info and select the codec would be ideal. Does that even exist? Or am I going to have to be the one to develop it?
