Compressor - "Quicktime - Error 0" Message

Hi Guys,

I'm outputting a one hour show to DVD for proofing by the client and receiving a "Quicktime Error 0" message after about 10 minutes into the encode. Here's my specifics:

Hardware:
Power PC Mac Octacore running leopard.
AJA Kona 3
5 TB ESATA Raid 0 Media Drives

Software:
Project cut in FCP - 1080i 29.97 Pro Res HQ

Exporting from the timeline via Compressor to MPEG 2 for DVD. The settings in Compressor are set to: VBR 5 with Max at 7.

The footage originated with HDCAM from F900 shot at 30 PSF. (29.97)

Since I'm in a rush, I'm working around the problem for now by outputting a Quicktime Movie and will encode for DVD from there.

Any ideas about what this error message could be? I did a search on the forums and found others with the problem, but never a solution.

Thanks for your feedback.

It usually relates to some piece of media in the time-line that is either corrupt or that QuickTime doesn't understand.

Have you got any still or media you've imported from elsewhere?

Have you applied any effects that have not rendered correctly?

Daniel,

Thanks for responding to my post....... yes I do have a few clips that I purchased from a stock footage site that were HDV and one 23.98 clip that may not be properly converted. I'll play around with those clips, try again and let you know how it works out. Thanks again.
