Encoding software for PC?

Been encoding on my Mac with Compressor with decent results - I understand there are better pieces of software out there, but Compressor works fine for my needs :-).

BUT - new workflow whereby I will need to compress Fraps-encoded AVI footage on my PC to Quicktime codecs - is there a comparable piece of software that runs on Windows XP? Price not too much of a concern, but would like to know the diff pieces and their price points so I can make an educated decision...

Procoder from Canopus - cheap.
CarbonCoder from Rhozet - expensive.

Plus a whole bunch of free or very cheap apps like Super from eRightStuff

Please post back saying what solved your problem. It could help others, and saying 'thanks' is free!
