I created a FCP one minute video for a client that wants to put it on his website with an MPEG format that is compatible with Quick Time and the file needs to be non-compressed AVI.
I compressed it in Compressor with the Web Videocasting in the QT application rather than the MPEG. Does this fit their requirements?
No it doesn't. If the client wants MPEG then the client should get MPEG, not just a .Mov or whatever.
It should be either MPEG-1 or MPEG-4, both are totally compatible with Quicktime, MPEG-4 will give you higher quality for a given datarate than MPEG-1, but MPEG-1 will play well on computers that are too old and underpowered for MPEG-4.
