targa vs. uncompressed
on Dec 11, 2007 at 11:05:02 pm

I have files that need to do a lot of "back and forth work" files going to and from various programs, FCP, AE, different computers ect. ect. I want to use a codec that will have absolutely NO generational loss as I modify and output the file from one program/computer to the next. I think Targa Sequences and Uncompressed 10bit are the best, though I haven't tried EVERY codec. My question is; is one of them better than the other? I can't really tell much of a difference.

I'm having some issues getting FCP to recognize a targa as of now, but it's probably an easy fix.

Here's a great resource for CODEC info.

That is a good website, a great reference for various codecs, they didn't have Targa Sequence listed, but I think they have enough information to get me what I need. Thanks for the tip!
