What's an MPEG - ts file?
Are you referring to the VIDEO_TS and AUDIO_TS folders that are found on a DVD? If so, what you want is a program to make a DVD from a .mov file. Use Apple's DVD Studio Pro or Adobe's Encore DVD or even one of the Roxio programs like Easy Media Creator. They'll all do it in different ways and with different amounts of complexity.

If you're referring to an MPEG2 Transport Stream then Compressor will do it for you.

Is the format that Compressor makes used for broadcast purposes?

Final Cut Studio, FCP 5.1.2, After Effects 6.5 Pro, Quicktime 7.1.3, G5 Quad 2.5, Kona-LHe V3, 4.5GB RAM, Nvidia GeForce 7800-GT, G-RAID 2x1TB FW800.

Compressor won't do a high enough bit-rate for broadcast.

i tried it first with ffmpegx and this didn't match, i hope that compressor will do it.
and yes, it is an mpeg-transport stream including audio, for tv on handy broadcast.

The best options for MPEG-2 transport streams on the mac are MainConcept and Epsiode. You can also take a MPEG-2 program stream and convert it to a TS by using MPEG Streamclip, but I have had issues in the past with this for certain types of encodes.
