Is AC3 possible w/ Compressor?

I liked using A-Pack. I read that creating ac3 files w/ compressor is possible. I can't find the selection to do so. There's
"AAC audio" (streaming or download) - this creates a ".mp4" file not an ".ac3" file.
"Aiff Audio" creates ".aif" files. Under encoder there are different video codecs. Under sound settings there are different audio codecs. None of this seems to render a ".ac3" file. Please, casn someone shed some light on this for me?

Thanks.

Chris

AC3 encoding is built-in to Compressor 2 only. If you have Compressor 2, then A.Pack is no longer needed. If you still only have Compressor 1, then A.Pack is the solution.

And Compressor 2 offers an upgrade - you get access to the Rear Surround channel.

And you can also do multichannel AAC encoding - the big V for Vendetta trailer uses it (but won't play smoothly on my 2x2.0 G5!).
