Haven't tried it myself but in Compressor 2 in the Inspector under Encoder/Extras Tab there's a "Multiplexed MPEG-1/Layer 2 Audio" check box with the discription "Select this to create an MPEG-2 Trasnport stream with multiplexed audio.

Could you be more specific. I have 2 separate files that i need to compress and combine for DVD studio pro. One file is a .m2v file and the other is an aiff file. Please, if you could help, that would be great. thanks

Juan

I don't think Compressor 1 could mux mpeg2. One more reason to upgrade. Compressor 2 is a major improvement over Compresson 1 IMHO.

Why? As far as I know DVDSP would prefer that you import your video and audio files seperatly. If they share the same file name (example.m2v and example.aiff) DVDSP will know that these 2 files are linked.

MPEG-2 Program Streams (where the audio and video are muxed) are good for when you don't need to build and burn a complete DVD, and sending just the MPEG-2 movie (for instance, for QCing) where it can easily be played back is more beneficial.
