Strobing problem with my AE CS5 project
on Feb 2, 2011 at 1:59:46 pm

Hi forum,

New here, so please go easy on me :)
I've been dabbling with AE CS5 for around 6 months now and the latest project I'm doing has got me stumped.

You can see the problem on my YT vid here:

The problem starts at time index 00;57s.

I have used the BCC7 Extruded text effect which I have used many times before, but as you can see it has created a rather annoying strobing effect of the text.

The main and sub comps are all 1080 29.97fps, rendered in H.264 so there shouldn't be any frame rate problems.

Any advice would be really appreciated :)

I've noticed this issue with BCC7 Extruded Text as well. Make sure you're running the lastest version (which I believe includes some bugfixes). Also, try contacting Boris tech support and see if they can help.

Since your text seems static at the end there, maybe you could quickly save this project by using a freeze frame?

Walter you're a star!

Obviously being rather new at this It didn't even cross my mind to freeze frame it, but I guess thinking outside the box like this comes with experience :)

Appreciate the assistance mate,

Paul.

[Paul Irvine] "I guess thinking outside the box like this comes with experience :)"

I usually call tricks like this "cheating" -- but "thinking outside the box" certainly has a more positive connotation, doesn't it?

I'm glad I was able to help.
