After effects Scrips slow 2020

Hi,

When using some scripts in after effects 2020 (labels 3, swatcheroo are some examples ) my whole interface will lock up becoming white. To Fix the issues I have to force close the application.

I have tried deleting my preferences multiple times to no success.

The machine I am using is very high end with an ssd so don't think its a hardware issue.

I can't think of what's causing these problems.

Does anyone know a fix as this is driving me mad as I cant used any of my paid scripts. I have not seen any similar issue on the internet.

Thanks

What have you done to isolate the issue to those specific scripts?

Those are just the scripts I am have been getting the biggest problems with. There could be more. Some scripts seem to working fine (move anchor point) which is strange.

The problem is more apparent when my project file (.aep) is over 15 MB

Any ideas on what I should do next to troubleshoot?

Could it have something to do with my firewall settings?

Thanks

Not knowing exactly which plugin is causing it, it would be difficult to fix. You should start removing all but one and proceed to test which one is the most troublesome.

I use none of those and not knowing specifically their inner workings it could be a bunch of things such as trying to access outbound connections and not being able to as you suggested. But the plugin should return an error and not hang on it without a response. So its either lack of proper programming or a bug in your system.

Can you try another machine on the same network?
