Hi!

I'm trying to make a comet tail and use Camera Orbit Null to look at it from the front. I used Particle World on a Solid Layer. I set the physics to Jet Sideways, make some adjustments in the Particles, Physics and set the Orbit Null so it looks at the front of my tale. So when I look at my composition in 2 views, in Custom View the tale looks ok. But in my Active Camera it doesn't expand, it just getting more narrow, which is not what I need. I need it to expand and fade out. I tried to change multiple setting, but still can't get rid of this narrowing effect. Any ideas? Thanks!

is there any resistance on ..under physics...make it 0. ..if that does not help then this tutorial will...https://www.videocopilot.net/tutorials/3d_stroke_effect/

Yes, the resistance is set to 0. Thanks for the link. Unfortunately it doesn't help me. He explains the way to generate particles by moving the solid layer, but I don't do that. My base is not moving, it just producing particles.

You can set particles to fade out as the age in the opacity over life controls. You just need to draw a decreasing curve and that should get you your comet tail
