In my project, I only have two colors to work with -- White and Orange. I want to change the background color periodically to maintain visual interest, but to do that I need to invert the color scheme on my shape layers.
Here's what it is right now

What I'm looking for an easy way to do

I originally thought the "Change to color" effect might work, but that only affects one color. If I add a second "Change to color" effect, it is applied on top of the other effect, not simultaneously. After doing that, I just have a solid color instead of swapped colors.

I know I can precompose the composition, duplicate it, and change the colors in one of the precomps to the inverted color scheme, but that's messy and if I need to change something later it will cause many problems and take lots of time.

If you only have white and orange, why not make everything black and white and add an adjustment layer with a tint effect above everything?

You can just change the tint to switch colors.

Not a bad idea. Not a bad idea at all! Thanks much, I'll try that.
