 | how do I eliminate black cinema bars in composition?

Hi folks! I downloaded
this after effects file from envato elements and cannot figure out how to get rid of the black bars at top and bottom. My composition settings are 1920x1080.

The layer numbering being weird and the shy switch being on means that there are layers that have been hidden so it's probably there. That said all those animations seem to be made for that scope aspect ratio so just removing the matte probably won't help if you want to make it full screen.
You'll need to precomp the whole thing and scale that to crop out the top and bottom parts of the screen.
