Copy & pasting keyframe data without replacing interpolation
on Jun 4, 2019 at 3:54:17 pm

I have a 3d objects with a numerous keyframes on "position" property.... their interpolations have been
finely tuned to my liking in the graph editor already.

Some clients changes now require that I copy keyframe data from one key (XYZ) to another without losing the interpolation I've already tweaked.

So 2 questions:
1 - how do i copy the values XYZ (every time I select the PROPERY it selects ALL the keyframes.... or if I select the single keyframe to copy, it obviously selects the interpolation data too)
2 - how do I paste it whilst leaving existing interpolation intact

This feels like I'm missing something super obvious... so thanks a bunch in advance for any help

Not new to AE - but maybe I'm explaining my problem poorly.
So perhaps this is simpler:

Thanks

Sounds like you need to copy the values, not the keyframes. So that's three copy-paste actions, X, Y and Z individually.

Ok, thanks.
Was really hoping there was an easier (quicker) way. I found I need this pretty frequently.
And the 3 separate value copy-paste actions each time was getting so annoying.
In most 3d packages one can just highlight the XYZ values, copy, and then paste in one go.

But thanks for your help. Needed confirmation for my own sanity ;)

If you need to do this a lot, maybe something like this, then?
