Visualizing the "Audio Waveform Spectrum" into "Footage" window

Hello the community,

Do I have to explain ? I think everything is in the title, no ? lol

So yeah, basically, it's been a long time I'm wondering if this is possible to see the Audio Waveform Spectrum into the footage window in After Effects.
As it does in Premiere Pro or others editing softs when we open an audio file by double-clicking on it.

I'm not asking to push L then L once the audio is in the "Composition" windows, no no no.
I'm really talking about seeing the Waveform from the "Footage" window.

Sorry. No can do. Never have been able to. I have the same gripe about Avid. It's a pain.
You'd have to talk to Adobe about it. Sorry, but I don't have the link to do it.

Maybe it's a blessing in disguise. AE really SUCKS at audio editing. It stinks on ice. It's a total train wreck for it. I can think of one worse audio editing application -- Microsoft Word.

You should use Audition for easier, faster and much better audio editing. If you rent Adobe CC software, you can get it and it is a LOT easier to learn.
