Warp Stabilizer & Camera Tracker

I have footage that needs to be smoothed out, so I ran Warp Stabilizer VFX and in a bit had nice, smooth camera motion. However, I also needed to place 3d objects within my scene, so I needed to run the Camera Tracker to have the points to which I could locate positions in my scene, and after an hour or so with no "Solved Camera" I bailed out. Is there a more system resource-lite workflow for running these two operations on raw footage or did I just not wait long enough to have the camera position solved? By the way, my clip is 15sec long.

You've just run into a limitation of After Effects, namely that it's unwise to do both of the things you want to do in the same comp.

You'll be FAR better off by stabilizing, prerendring the stabilized clip, and then doing the track.

That's the next thing I'd try. Thanks for confirming it.
