How to save Text styles in after effects as we do in premiere
on Jan 22, 2019 at 5:26:34 am

Hi, I make txt based videos (like now this videos) in premiere pro for my clients that's why i have saved title styles presets. Now I am moving on to after affects and just want to know how can I save my text properties (eg font, color, shadow, stroke etc ). so that i can apply them later on any text of my choice? even if there is some way to import styles from premiere will also work for me thanks.

Put a text layer in a comp with all the attributes you want. When you want that text, copy-paste it into the comp you're using.

There are no fancy scripts you can use.
There are no plugins.
There are no fancy expressions for this.
Set up a text layer the way you want. Copy. Paste.

Well you can check out this page from Adobe about making motion graphics templates with essential graphics: https://helpx.adobe.com/after-effects/using/creating-motion-graphics-templa...

You might have luck using that. Or you could make a new project to use as a preset. Make one comp with the text styled how you want and save that. Then just bring that project in for the titles you want to use it for.
