Triangular (stroked) grid with individually animated triangles

Hello,

Does anyone have experience achieving a look like this video:
https://www.shutterstock.com/video/clip-9365459-triangle-polygon-loop-01-wi...

Using stroked triangle shapes that fit together in a perfect grid, and are individually animated with seemingly random shifts in either hue or opacity.

I can create square grids with the grid generator effect and with the mosaic effect set to blocks, but I'm not sure how to create the animated tri's.

Thanks for any direction or tools on achieving this background!

Do you have element 3d? IF so you could make a plane within element 3d. set faces to triangles and then .(after you increase its geometry) use the 3d distortion - noise under element 3d settings

Thanks Richard,

No I don't have Element 3D, yet. But I'm always looking for a good reason to get it. :)

You could make two square grids and slant them in the opposite directions by 30 degrees, align the corners to match and use lighten mode to blend them.
