MOV is not a format it is a wrapper.

There is no codec for video that includes alpha which is going to be small in file size. All of the alpha containing codecs are intended as intermediaries which typically have less compression of frames as well as having no I-frames; both of which will dramatically increase file size over standard delivery codecs.

by format I mean wrapper.

the codec is cineform with alpha but like I said it's large.
adobe disposed PNG codec after 2017

Sorry, but any way you export a file, it will be big. There is no way around it. That is the nature of files with alpha channels.

You can, however, a file with no alpha channel with a background matching the powerpoint.

Adobe did not dispose of a PNG codec - it's still there.

The only format I know with alpha that's deliverable in smaller files sizes is WebM, and some old school FLV flavors, but I don't think either of them embed well in PowerPoint.

Hi Natai. I'm a little confused about why you need an alpha background in a PowerPoint presentation? If it is overlaying an image from another projector then using a black background will block the light coming from the projector and have the same effect as an alpha.

I don't have a couple of projectors, so I don't understand the answer..

Hi. Sorry I didn't mean to be confusing, my comments had nothing to do with the actual rendering question you asked. I was just pondering and personally couldn't think of any case where I would need an alpha in a Powerpoint presentation and was curious as to why you obviously have a need for one.
