Source compression type is not supported
on Dec 8, 2018 at 4:03:31 am

I just updated to AE 2019 (version 16 build 235).

But now many of my green-screen videos won't load because it says the source compression type is not supported. I made these in a fairly old version of Premiere (CC6) using QuickTime Animation, 32-bit to get the transparency.

Is there any workaround that will let me use these files? If not, how should I be exporting from within Premiere so that this new version of AE will accept them? I do have a CC license, so I have the new version of Premiere, but I've always found the more recent versions to be a bit confusing when it comes to exporting, so that's why I've stayed with CC 6.

In the first bug fix of CC 2018, Adobe dropped support of a boatload of QT codecs. You must have used one. There's a piece of software called After Codecs that may help.

But I don't know for sure. I happily run AE CC 2017, and I've got all my QT codecs!
