RAM Preview in CC 2019 Won't Play Realtime (59.94fps)
on Nov 29, 2018 at 9:35:59 am

Hello to everyone.
I created a project with a resolution of 3840x2160 and 59.94fps.
But I can't preview in real time when I want to preview it.
Is there something I've done wrong?
Can you help me.
Thank you.

If you're trying to preview at full comp size and resolution, you're asking a lot of AE.
Set the comp view size to 50% and the comp resolution to 50% and try again.

You can also Shift-Preview the comp, and AE will make a preview of every other frame.

In Days Of Yore, people had to use all sorts of AE previewing tricks. You should check out the Views and Previews section of AE Help -- lots of ways to speed up previews. Rule #1 is to keep your fingers off that space bar!

You would need the big box HPZ840 fully loaded to even get that kind of preview.
But I've easily killed them units by adding plug-ins and layers.
You just need to be mindful of what you need to see.
There are options such as Region of Interest that could also help.
I for one live on a Mac Pro 2013 D700 with 64GG RAM on massive RAIDs.
I still need to be very selective when dealing with preview.
