Time Remapping Adjustment Layer
on Nov 5, 2018 at 12:46:50 pm

Hi,

Is it possible to time remap with an adjustment layer, for example i want to have an adjustment layer above my footage layer and mask the adjustment layer with a 'delay' effect to offset the footage a desired amount? I appreciate I can do the same thing by just creating additional footage layers masking and offsetting, but for the sake of my current needs I'm looking to achieve this with an adjustment layer.

Thanks in advance,
Scott

I don't think Time Remapping works as an adjustment layer.

If there are numerous layers in your existing comp, you could pre-comp your current composition and Time Remap the pre-comp.

If I'm reading corrctly, you want to alter the speed of a footage layer by using an adjustment layer. Sorry, but that won't work. You'll only alter the speed of any animated effects on the adjustment layer.

Thanks for the input, I've managed to work it out.

For anybody looking to do the same I've applied a time-warp to the adjustment layer and by linking the 'source frames' to a slider controller it offsets the footage as desired,
